Being Politically correct !!!

We all are doing so many things in our day to day life, meeting so many people we like & also so many people whom we don’t like but there’s one thought which keeps bouncing in my head is that, Are we always politically correct? If a survey on this is conducted, even the results would not give a fair idea & am sure no conclusion could be drawn. I don’t know why I chose to pen down my thoughts on this but I actually see this happen a lot in front of me. Everyone I meet sems to be saying politically correct things, doing acts which are politically correct but we never wonder why, may be because we are a part of that as well.

On this coming New year if one makes a resolution that “ I will not be not be politically correct & I will only say what I truly feel for the other person” then I am very much sure that this resolution will be broken in a record time (We were anyways going to break it as usual). Why it is so hard in today’s world to say your heart out? Even when in love, one generally say things, which makes our partner happy (at-least till the time one gets married/gets out of the relation).

There could be so many reasons behind this phenomenon but as per my opinion its just fear. We have become so afraid thinking about what could happen after we give a not so politically correct statement/reply. This could be fear of losing your job, fear of turning your relationship sour. Now when I think about all this, I also know this that somewhere down the line this is turning all of us into someone which we are not. You may never come to know about the people who have been backstabbing & will continue to do so because they have covered there faces with beautiful looking masks but inside there is a monster waiting to explode.

Anyways, I think we should be very cautious of those people who are always saying the goodie goodie things rather saying what they actually feel. They cannot be your friends as they will never let you correct your flaws (everyone has it…accept it).

So live life & don’t be politically correct with the friends…& give me a fair feedback :)

Nice post n indeed a very good subject!
Well, I do agree that being 'politically correct' or rather, being 'diplomatic' is one of those norms of today's world which almost all of us find hard not to follow...
But to be very honest, I don't see much harm in speaking and acting this way, as long as one doesn't completely go off the point and begin uttering 'lies' in an attempt to either impress or convince the other person!
Otherwise, I find 'this' way a lot better than being downright 'honest' coz' believe it or not, I have actually come across a few people in life, who are so brutally blunt that i guess they can slay anyone or everyone with the usage of just their harsh "tongue".....
Comparing the two ways, I find being "politically correct" a far better way to be considerate about others' feelings n sentiments....
